Appian is seeking a Deal Operations Manager to oversee deal constructs, special pricing, and operations while supporting the Sales team in negotiations. This role requires strong problem-solving and communication skills.
You have a strong background in operations management, particularly in sales environments, and possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Your critical thinking and creativity enable you to navigate complex deal structures and pricing strategies effectively. You are a self-starter with proven problem-solving abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. You thrive in cross-functional roles, collaborating with various teams to achieve common goals. Your attention to detail ensures that all operations align with internal policies while maximizing value for both the customer and the company.
Experience in a technology or software company is a plus, as is familiarity with sales processes and contract negotiations. You may have a background in finance or legal operations, which would enhance your ability to support the Sales team effectively. A proactive approach to cultivating best practices through analysis and reporting will set you apart in this role.
As a Deal Operations Manager at Appian, you will report directly to the Sr. Director of Deal Operations and play a crucial role in managing deal constructs and special pricing. You will support the Sales team in negotiating contract structures and pricing, ensuring compliance with Appian's internal policies while maximizing value for customers. Your role will involve facilitating alignment and communication between Sales Teams and internal stakeholders, including Finance, Legal, Engineering, and Product teams. You will troubleshoot deal issues and sales escalations, ensuring prompt resolution of business challenges. Additionally, you will contribute to the growth of Appian's Sales team by cultivating best practices through analyses and reporting. Regular training sessions with Sales teams will be part of your responsibilities, helping to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
