Google is seeking a Head of Customer Engineering to lead technical teams in the banking sector. You'll leverage cloud native architecture and engage with technical stakeholders to drive business opportunities. This role requires 10+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role.
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with a minimum of 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role. Your background includes at least 3 years of experience leading teams in a technical customer-facing role within professional services or sales engineering, either as a manager or manager of managers. You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to engage with technical stakeholders and executive leaders effectively. Your experience in the financial services industry is a plus, as it allows you to understand the unique challenges and opportunities within this sector.
You are adept at managing a team through sales processes, operations, and career development, including account mapping, quota setting, and performance management. You are comfortable with travel, as this role may require you to travel up to 25% of the time. Your ability to tailor and deliver compelling messages to different audiences is a key strength, allowing you to lead conversations that drive business opportunities.
Experience with software lifecycles, building tools, and architecting and developing software for scalable, distributed systems, including data platforms, AI/ML, and infrastructure, is highly desirable. You have a proven track record of resolving technical roadblocks and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective cross-functional collaboration.
As the Head of Customer Engineering at Google Cloud, you will lead a team dedicated to helping customers transform their businesses with cloud technology.
