Mechanical Engineer Internship/Co-op, Summer 2026

Who you are

You are an aspiring Mechanical Engineer with a strong foundation in engineering principles and a keen interest in self-driving technologies. You have experience with CAD software, enabling you to create and modify engineering drawings effectively. Your analytical and problem-solving skills are well-developed, allowing you to tackle complex engineering challenges. A background in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is a plus, as is familiarity with various designs for manufacturing processes such as sheet metal and injection molding.

What you'll do

As a Mechanical Engineer Intern at Waabi, you will be part of a dynamic team of engineers and research scientists focused on advancing self-driving technology. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in the design and analysis of mechanical systems and components, where you will apply your knowledge of engineering principles. You will conduct research and gather data to support various engineering projects, ensuring that your contributions are impactful and relevant. You will also participate in the testing and validation of prototypes, gaining hands-on experience in the engineering process.
