You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, particularly in building production systems that scale effectively. You understand the intricacies of release processes and have a track record of debugging complex issues that arise during software deployment. Your expertise in Java and AWS allows you to design and implement robust backend solutions that enhance the reliability of software releases.
You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and data science, to align technical solutions with business objectives. Your ability to facilitate strategic discussions ensures that the features you develop are not only scalable but also meet the needs of the business and its users.
You take ownership of the entire feature development process, from proof of concept through to delivery. This means you are adept at driving projects forward, ensuring that all aspects of development are considered and executed with precision. You thrive in environments where you can leverage your technical skills to make impactful decisions that enhance user experience.
Experience with metrics monitoring and error tracking is a plus, as it aligns with the goals of the Release Monitoring team. Familiarity with automated release pipelines and rollback processes will also be beneficial in this role, as you will be working on systems that require high reliability and efficiency.
As a Backend Engineer on the Release Monitoring team, you will play a crucial role in building systems that automate release processes and measure the impact of feature rollouts. You will collaborate with various teams to architect observability products that enhance the safety and speed of software releases. Your work will involve leveraging LaunchDarkly’s Observability SDKs to aggregate data and provide insights that help teams make informed decisions about their releases.
You will drive comprehensive end-to-end feature development, ensuring that each project you undertake is executed flawlessly from concept to delivery. This includes writing clean, maintainable code and participating in code reviews to uphold the quality of the software. You will also be responsible for monitoring the performance of the systems you build, making adjustments as necessary to optimize their functionality.
Your role will require you to stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies, allowing you to bring innovative solutions to the team. You will be expected to contribute to discussions about system architecture and design, ensuring that the solutions you propose are both effective and scalable.
