Samsara is seeking an Account Executive for their Mid Market team to drive sales of IoT solutions to mid-sized customers. You'll engage with executives and manage complex sales processes. This role requires experience in sales and a passion for technology.
You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in engaging with mid-sized customers and understanding their unique needs. Your ability to communicate effectively with executives and CXOs sets you apart, as you navigate complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders. You thrive in a results-driven environment and are motivated by the opportunity to impact industries that are crucial to our global economy. You are comfortable with technology and have a keen interest in the Internet of Things (IoT), recognizing its potential to transform operations across various sectors.
Experience in selling technology solutions, particularly in sectors like transportation, construction, or agriculture, would be a significant advantage. Familiarity with sales processes involving proof of concepts (POCs) and pricing negotiations will help you excel in this role. A background in working with sensor data or operational technology can also enhance your effectiveness in understanding customer needs.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales of Samsara's IoT solutions to mid-sized customers. You will engage with potential clients, conducting needs assessments and demonstrating how our products can enhance their operations. Your typical sales will range from $20k to $100k, requiring you to manage trials and negotiate pricing effectively. You will work closely with various stakeholders within client organizations, ensuring that you address their concerns and highlight the benefits of our solutions. Your role will involve approximately 25% travel, allowing you to meet clients face-to-face and build strong relationships.
You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure that customer feedback is integrated into our product development process, helping to shape the future of our offerings. As you build your pipeline, you will utilize CRM tools to track your progress and report on sales metrics. Your success will be measured by your ability to meet or exceed sales targets while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
