Waymo is hiring a Staff Machine Learning Engineer focused on ML Performance & Optimization. You'll optimize neural model architectures for high performance across multiple platforms, utilizing skills in TensorFlow, Python, and Keras. This role requires extensive experience in machine learning and model optimization.
You have a strong background in machine learning with at least 5 years of experience in optimizing neural networks and model architectures. Your expertise in TensorFlow and PyTorch allows you to implement cutting-edge solutions that enhance model performance across various platforms. You are proficient in Python and have hands-on experience with GPU and TPU systems, enabling you to tackle complex challenges in model training and inference.
You stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning and are eager to apply innovative techniques to improve production systems. Your collaborative spirit shines through as you work closely with cross-functional teams, including ML Engineering and Modeling, to drive the scaling of models and ensure their effectiveness across multiple applications. Experience with large-scale data processing and optimization techniques is a plus. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing neural model architectures and systems to achieve high performance on both GPU and TPU platforms. Waymo provides a competitive salary range of $238,000—$302,000 USD, along with eligibility for an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
