Databricks is hiring a Senior Solutions Architect to design scalable data architectures and drive technology discussions with customers. You'll leverage AWS and Apache Spark to establish the Databricks Lakehouse architecture as a standard. This role requires strong technical and business acumen.
You have 5+ years of experience in a technical role, ideally as a Solutions Architect or in a similar capacity, where you've successfully partnered with customers to design and implement scalable data architectures. Your technical depth in big data technologies, particularly with Databricks, allows you to engage in complex discussions that highlight the value of the platform. You possess a strong understanding of business needs and can translate them into technical solutions that drive customer success.
You are skilled in building relationships with technical leads, including architects and engineers, and have a proven track record of establishing yourself as a trusted advisor. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders enables you to bridge the gap between customer needs and technical capabilities. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with sales teams to develop account strategies that enhance customer engagement.
Experience with cloud services and integrations is a plus, as is familiarity with data science and machine learning projects. You are comfortable presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences and can create compelling reference architectures and demo applications that resonate with potential users.
In this role, you will partner with Account Executives to engage with customers throughout the sales lifecycle, focusing on understanding their unique challenges and how Databricks can address them. You will lead discussions on data architecture, helping customers visualize how the Databricks Lakehouse can streamline their data processes and enhance their analytics capabilities. Your expertise will be crucial in capturing technical wins by consulting on big data architectures and validating integrations with various cloud services.
You will also be responsible for developing account strategies that drive the adoption of Databricks technology, ensuring that customers realize tangible outcomes from their investments. This includes building and presenting reference architectures tailored to specific use cases, as well as demonstrating the capabilities of Databricks through hands-on demos and technical workshops.
Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams within Databricks to represent customer needs and feedback. You will report to the Field Engineering Manager, providing insights on customer engagements and contributing to the continuous improvement of our solutions and services.
