Overview

Datadog is seeking an Enterprise Sales Executive to target and close new business with large strategic customers. You'll focus on understanding customer pain points in cloud environments and delivering tailored solutions. This role requires 3+ years of closing experience and a proven track record in sales.

Job Description

Who you are

You have 3+ years of closing experience, ideally in field selling within mid-market or enterprise environments — you've successfully navigated complex sales processes and have a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals of $1M+. You are driven and understand how to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in large organizations, demonstrating a methodology to prospect effectively. Your experience includes handling average deal sizes of $100k+, showcasing your ability to sell value and ROI to large commercial enterprises.

You possess a deep comprehension of customer business needs and can identify the pain points organizations face as they operate in or migrate to cloud environments at scale. You are resourceful when faced with challenges and have an intuitive sense of the necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation. Your forecasting accuracy and consistency are high, ensuring that you maintain a robust set of business drivers behind all opportunities.

Desirable

Experience in selling SaaS solutions or cloud services would be a plus, as well as familiarity with the technology landscape that Datadog operates within. A background in working with Fortune 1000 companies will also be advantageous, as you will be prospecting into these large organizations.

What you'll do

In this role, you will prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies while running an efficient sales process. You will maintain, build, and own specific relationship maps for your territory, which includes existing relationships and aspirational contacts. Your goal will be to develop a deep understanding of your customers' businesses, enabling you to negotiate favorable pricing and business terms effectively.

You will handle existing customer expectations while expanding your reach and depth into your assigned territory. Your ability to demonstrate resourcefulness will be crucial when faced with challenges that defy easy solutions. You will ensure high forecasting accuracy and consistency, which is vital for the success of your sales efforts.
