Rubrik is hiring a Senior Sales Engineer to provide technical direction and business guidance to the regional sales team. You'll work on innovative technical programs and customer demonstrations in Chicago. This role requires expertise in sales engineering and technical solutions.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in sales engineering, ideally with 5+ years of experience in providing technical leadership and support in pre-sales activities. You excel at understanding customer needs and translating them into effective technology solutions, ensuring that you can effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your ability to build relationships with clients and internal teams is key to your success, as you work collaboratively to drive sales and exceed quotas.

You possess deep knowledge of distributed architectures, file systems, and competitive storage offerings, particularly in the SAN product space. Your technical expertise allows you to demonstrate Rubrik’s products effectively, showcasing their value to potential customers. You are a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated by achieving sales targets and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Desirable

Experience with cloud-based solutions and cybersecurity is a plus, as is familiarity with the latest trends in data protection and recovery. You are comfortable with technical demonstrations and proof of concepts, and you have a knack for engaging customers through compelling presentations and discussions.

What you'll do

As a Senior Sales Engineer at Rubrik, you will play a crucial role in supporting the sales team by providing technical direction and business guidance. You will assist in the analysis, design, and development of fully integrated technology solutions tailored to meet the needs of our clients. Your responsibilities will include conducting customer demonstrations, leading proof of concepts, and collaborating closely with Account Executives to drive pipeline generation.

You will be responsible for evangelizing Rubrik’s products to a targeted list of new and existing strategic customer accounts in the North Central Region. This involves understanding customer requirements, addressing their concerns, and positioning Rubrik’s solutions as the best fit for their needs. You will also oversee day-to-day account-level activities, ensuring that all technical aspects of the sales process are handled smoothly and efficiently.

In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise to provide insights and recommendations that help shape customer decisions. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure that customer feedback is incorporated into product development and that our solutions continue to meet market demands.
