Motional is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Calibration team, focusing on calibrating sensors for autonomous vehicles. You'll utilize your expertise in C++ and calibration techniques to enhance vehicle performance and safety.
You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field, with a preference for a Master’s or Ph.D. You bring over 3 years of specialized experience in calibration, localization, or SLAM for autonomous vehicles, augmented reality headsets, or robotic systems. Your strong record of designing and executing advanced calibration strategies sets you apart. You possess over 3 years of proficiency in C++ software development, focusing on building high-performance and resilient systems. You have experience owning and leading technical development from problem conceptualization through research, implementation, and successful production deployment. Your background includes working with multiple sensors such as LiDARs, Radars, IMUs, and Cameras. You have a thirst for knowledge, continuous innovation, and a drive to push the boundaries of autonomous driving technology. Additionally, you have experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
In this role, you will join the innovative Calibration team at Motional as a Senior Engineer, playing a key role in bringing self-driving vehicles to life. You will develop and implement advanced calibration applications for autonomous vehicle systems, pushing the boundaries of performance and safety.
