Job Description

We're seeking a strategic Supply Chain Manager who will transform how we source and maintain our critical aviation assets. In this pivotal role, you'll craft innovative procurement strategies that ensure Amazon Air's fleet remains robust, efficient, and cost-effective across global operations.

You will bring a blend of aviation technical knowledge and commercial sourcing expertise, possessing strong negotiation skills and the ability to drive cost-effective strategies for airframe and powerplant maintenance, and material supply. You will work to ensure Amazon Air secures sufficient maintenance capacity and favorable commercial terms, while building a resilient, high-quality supply chain to support the operation.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive sourcing processes for aircraft and engine maintenance, including developing detailed Request for Proposals and conducting sophisticated vendor evaluations
- Negotiate and execute complex global agreements with maintenance providers and aftermarket vendors
- Design commercial strategies to ensure reliable and cost-effective component and asset procurement
- Support strategic acquisition of spare engines, auxiliary power units, and high-value rotatable assets
- Collaborate across internal teams to align sourcing strategies with operational requirements

A day in the life
Your day will be a dynamic blend of strategic planning, collaborative problem-solving, and high-stakes negotiations. You'll engage with global maintenance providers, analyze complex market trends, and develop sourcing approaches that balance operational excellence with financial prudence. Expect to dive deep into aircraft maintenance ecosystems, crafting solutions that keep our fleet performing at peak efficiency.

About the team
Our Fleet, Aviation Sourcing, and Technical (FAST) organization is the strategic backbone of Amazon Air's transportation network. We're a collaborative team of innovative thinkers committed to building a global transportation infrastructure that enables smarter, faster, and more reliable delivery services. Your work will directly contribute to Amazon's mission of transforming logistics and customer experiences.
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation logistics
- 3+ years of supply chain, forecasting, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or vendor management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of airline/MRO supply chain experience.- Master's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation logistics
- Experience with financial analysis and modeling
- Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Experience leading RFPs and negotiating complex contracts for services (MRO) and/or material (parts/rotables).
- Direct experience sourcing and contracting for spare engines, APUs, or high-value rotable assets.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $77,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
