Job Description

Amazon Worldwide Grocery Tech is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to join our AI Annotation Tooling team. In this role, you'll build innovative solutions that power the creation of training data for our AI models, particularly focusing on computer vision applications in the grocery space. Our annotation platform enables teams across Amazon's grocery initiatives to efficiently create high-quality datasets that drive the development of modern AI services.

As a core member of the Annotation Tooling team, you'll have the opportunity to design and implement robust, scalable solutions that directly impact the efficiency of our AI development pipeline. You'll work on challenging technical problems while creating intuitive interfaces that empower our annotation workforce.

Key job responsibilities
- Data-Driven and Detail-Oriented: You approach problem-solving methodically, leveraging data to inform decisions and validate solutions. You have a keen eye for detail, understanding that in annotation tooling, precision is crucial for producing high-quality training data.
- Collaborative and User-Focused: You actively engage with AI teams and annotators to understand their needs and pain points. You're passionate about creating intuitive, efficient tools that enhance the annotation experience and improve data quality.
- Innovative yet Pragmatic: You're excited by new technologies but balance innovation with practicality. You can identify when to build custom solutions and when to leverage existing tools, always keeping scalability and maintainability in mind.- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
