You are adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously and can pivot quickly in response to changing priorities.

Desirable

Experience in technology communications, particularly in AI or related fields, is a plus. Familiarity with PR/media relations and employee communications will enhance your effectiveness in this role. You are comfortable working in a hybrid model and are open to relocation assistance if needed.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead external communications for OpenAI, shaping the narrative around how AI transforms work and enhances business efficiency. You will develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with OpenAI's mission and goals. Your responsibilities will include crafting messaging that clearly articulates the value of OpenAI's products and services, ensuring that the story resonates with both internal and external stakeholders.

You will collaborate closely with various teams to create communications programs focused on priority industries, demonstrating how OpenAI's tools empower individuals and organizations. As a strategic advisor to senior leadership, you will ensure that all communications are consistent and reflect the organization's values and objectives. You will also oversee PR/media relations efforts, managing relationships with key media outlets and ensuring that OpenAI's achievements and innovations are effectively communicated to the public.
