What you'll do

In this role, you will own the architecture and technical strategy for a core component of Confluent's stream processing engine based on Apache Flink. You will be responsible for defining and executing the long-term vision for a scalable and efficient data stream processor that meets the needs of our users. Your work will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that the solutions you develop are aligned with the overall product strategy.

You will lead initiatives that enable autoscaling and limitless state management, ensuring a seamless experience for users. This includes designing systems that require minimal management overhead, allowing customers to focus on their use cases without worrying about infrastructure complexities. You will also contribute to the broader technical vision of the company, translating high-level goals into actionable plans that drive innovation.

Your role will involve mentoring junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their careers.
