Amazon is hiring a Support Engineer III for the REALM team in Hyderabad to provide first-level support for production software application issues. You'll work with technologies like Java, Perl, and SQL to troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting Amazon Transportation Technology.
You have a strong background in software support and DevOps, with experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing production software issues across multiple services. Your expertise in programming languages such as Java, Perl, and Ruby allows you to implement fixes for internally developed code effectively. You are detail-oriented and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to coordinate with various teams under pressure. Your organizational skills help you manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring that you deliver the best results for customers. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to learn quickly, adapting to the dynamic needs of the team.
Experience with AWS and familiarity with SQL databases will be advantageous in this role, as you will be required to perform SQL queries and develop monitoring solutions. A proactive approach to identifying problems before they escalate will set you apart as a candidate.
As a Support Engineer III, you will act as the first level of support for all incoming production software application issues, dealing with over 100 different services within Amazon Transportation Technology. Your primary responsibilities will include troubleshooting, diagnosing, and fixing production software issues, as well as developing monitoring solutions to enhance system reliability. You will perform software maintenance and configuration, ensuring that all systems are running optimally. Collaboration with development teams on Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects will be a key aspect of your role, as you will work on updating and enhancing current software solutions. Additionally, you will automate support processes and document systems to improve efficiency and knowledge sharing within the team.
