Amazon is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support financial operations and headcount management. You'll perform bank reconciliations and assist with external audits. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting and 3+ years of relevant experience.
You are a detail-oriented individual with a Bachelor's degree in accounting or commerce, specifically a B. Com. You possess strong analytical skills and have a keen attention to detail, which allows you to manage multiple operational tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. With over 3 years of experience in finance operations, shared services, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general ledger, you have developed a solid foundation in financial processes. Your advanced knowledge of Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Office products enable you to handle data efficiently and accurately. You thrive in collaborative settings and are committed to maintaining high standards in financial operations.
In this role, you will perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure accurate matching of internal system payables, investigating and resolving any discrepancies that arise. You will execute bank account reconciliations, monitoring remittance transactions and verifying debit and credit amounts against transit account movements. Additionally, you will monitor daily disbursement execution to ensure timely merchant payments and address any payment failures that may occur. You will also update Weekly Business Review (WBR) metrics and compile relevant data to support financial reporting. Supporting external audit requirements will be a key responsibility, where you will provide opt-in evidence for billing configuration and maintain active merchant lists. Furthermore, you will prepare monthly headcount summary reports that combine data for APS cost centers, including attrition and internal transfers.
