Overview

Microsoft is hiring a Principal Program Manager to lead the Azure Data engineering team in transforming analytics with innovative data solutions. You'll work with technologies such as Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, and Power BI. This role requires experience in big data analytics and messaging technologies.

Who you are

You have extensive experience in program management, particularly in the realm of big data analytics and messaging technologies. Your background includes a deep understanding of the streaming and real-time analytics market, industry trends, and best practices. You are adept at solving complex business problems through innovative data solutions and have a proven track record of driving projects to successful completion.

You possess strong analytical skills and are comfortable working with various data platforms, including Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, and Power BI. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels is one of your key strengths. You are passionate about leveraging data to create competitive advantages and drive a data culture within organizations.

Desirable

Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Explorer is a plus, as is familiarity with the latest advancements in data integration and analytics technologies. You are always eager to learn and stay updated on industry trends, which helps you bring fresh insights to your team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the Fabric Customer Advisory Team (CAT) within Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the development and implementation of innovative data solutions that enhance analytics capabilities for clients. You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure that products like Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, and Power BI meet the needs of users and drive business value.

You will also be responsible for defining project scopes, setting timelines, and managing resources effectively to ensure successful project delivery. Your role will involve regular communication with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns that may arise during the project lifecycle.

Additionally, you will analyze market trends and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancements and new features. Your insights will be crucial in shaping the future direction of Microsoft’s data analytics offerings.
