What you'll do

As a Staff Software Engineer on the MongoDB Server Query Integration team, you will play a crucial role in building user-facing features on top of the core query engine. Your responsibilities will include enhancing the time-series product, extending language support for analytics, and contributing to the growth of Atlas Search and Vector Search products. You will also be involved in adding workload telemetry to provide greater insight into database usage, ensuring that the solutions you develop are both effective and user-friendly.

You will work on systematically rewriting major components of the optimization and execution systems, addressing interesting challenges related to transactional, time-series, lexical, and vector search workloads. Your contributions will directly impact the performance and experience of data processing for users, making your role vital to the success of the MongoDB ecosystem.

Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with other engineers and product teams to integrate query capabilities with various products. You will be expected to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation within the team.
