Careem is seeking a Legal Counsel to provide strategic legal guidance for their Everything App business across the Middle East. You'll partner with teams in Jordan, UAE, and KSA to navigate commercial and regulatory matters. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex legal topics.
You have a strong background in legal counsel, ideally with experience in commercial law and regulatory compliance. You are adept at providing practical legal guidance and can navigate complex legal topics with ease. You thrive in collaborative environments and are willing to roll up your sleeves to support your team. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to work effectively with cross-functional teams across different regions. You are detail-oriented and can manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You are passionate about using your legal expertise to support innovative business solutions and drive organizational success.
In this role, you will act as a strategic partner for Careem's Everything App business, providing legal support across various commercial matters. You will collaborate with teams in Jordan, UAE, and KSA to ensure compliance with local regulations and assist in negotiating commercial agreements. You will be responsible for advising on legal risks associated with new business initiatives and helping to develop strategies to mitigate those risks. You will also engage with regulatory bodies and ensure that Careem Pay operates within the legal framework. Your role will involve drafting and reviewing contracts, providing legal opinions, and supporting the wider team in various legal matters. You will play a crucial role in shaping the legal landscape of Careem's operations in the region, ensuring that the company adheres to all applicable laws while pursuing its business objectives. You will also contribute to the development of internal policies and procedures to enhance compliance and governance.
