Carvana is seeking a Heavy Auto Body Tech to perform extensive bodywork and train other technicians. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of professional automotive bodywork experience.
You have a minimum of 5 years of professional automotive bodywork experience, demonstrating your expertise in various bodywork techniques. As an Experienced Heavy Body Technician, you are skilled in heavy plastic welding, metal pulling, straightening, and stud welding. Your experience includes roof and rocker panel repair, as well as large area, heavy bodywork, including Bondo repair. You are a team player who is committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences and are willing to work mandatory overtime when needed.
You possess a valid driver’s license and can read, write, speak, and understand English. You are eager to train and mentor other autobody technicians, sharing your knowledge and skills to help them grow in their roles. You understand the importance of using state-of-the-art tools and techniques in a high-tech environment, and you are excited about the opportunity to work with a fast-growing company like Carvana.
While not required, any additional certifications or training in automotive bodywork would be a plus. Experience with advanced bodywork techniques or familiarity with the latest automotive technologies can set you apart from other candidates.
As a Heavy Auto Body Tech at Carvana, you will be responsible for performing extensive bodywork on multiple panels of vehicles. Your day-to-day tasks will include heavy plastic welding and stapling, as well as heavy metal pulling, straightening, and shrinking. You will also be involved in roof and rocker panel repairs, ensuring that all work meets Carvana's high standards for quality and safety.
In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will play a key role in training and mentoring other autobody technicians. You will share your expertise and help them develop their skills, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Your commitment to teamwork and customer satisfaction will be essential as you work alongside your colleagues to deliver exceptional results.
You will utilize state-of-the-art tools and equipment in one of Carvana's high-tech Inspection Centers, ensuring that you have everything you need to perform your job effectively. Your role may also involve working overtime during busy periods to meet customer demands and ensure timely vehicle delivery.
