Job Description
As part of Hardware Test Engineering at Apple your work will encourage innovation in metrology arena for sophisticated optical modules used across multiple Apple products line. Your expertise in optical design and lab prototyping combined with a deep understanding of the requirements driving the optical design will enable deploying the optimum metrology solution for the calibration and test of the next generation of Apple products.
An ideal candidate will be eager to learn from the past and be curious about physics, data science, and technology fundamentals. Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills are required.
As the hardware architect focused on novel instrumentations, you will come up with new ways to test and calibrate a range of optical modules such as optical sensors and health-sensing features during new product introduction. The ideal candidate will have had direct experience with the design and application of both optical and non-optical imaging systems, applying algorithms to process raw data to extract relevant metrics.
