Overview

Amazon is hiring an Engineering Operations Technician to maintain mission-critical technology infrastructure. You'll work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure 99.999% uptime. This position requires hands-on troubleshooting skills and knowledge of data center operations.

Who you are

You are an entry-level Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems. You have hands-on experience troubleshooting complex equipment and are eager to learn about data center operations. Your attention to detail ensures that you maintain high standards of uptime and reliability in mission-critical environments. You thrive in collaborative settings, working alongside diverse teams of engineers and specialists to solve challenging problems. You understand the importance of maintaining infrastructure that supports global digital experiences and are committed to delivering exceptional results. Desirable

Experience with diesel generators and three-phase electrical systems is a plus. Familiarity with cooling systems and UPS technology will enhance your ability to contribute effectively to the team. A proactive attitude towards learning and professional development will help you grow in this role.

What you'll do

As an Engineering Operations Technician at Amazon, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the heartbeat of our data centers. You will be responsible for operating and troubleshooting mission-critical facilities, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. Your day-to-day tasks will include maintaining stand-by diesel generators, managing fuel systems, and working with electrical systems such as switch gear and UPSs. You will collaborate with a team of engineers to address any operational issues that arise, ensuring that our data centers maintain an extraordinary uptime of 99.999%. You will also participate in regular maintenance checks and contribute to the continuous improvement of our operational processes. Your expertise will directly impact the efficiency and reliability of our infrastructure, supporting the seamless delivery of services to our customers.
