Job Description

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on building scalable systems and leading complex projects. Your technical expertise spans languages such as Java and C#, and you are comfortable working with cloud platforms like AWS. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to align software solutions with business objectives effectively. You thrive in collaborative environments, mentoring junior engineers and fostering a culture of innovation and support.

You are strategic in your thinking, able to tackle challenges from both a technical and business perspective. Your experience includes designing and delivering software solutions that meet the needs of diverse stakeholders. You are passionate about contributing to a team that values clarity and agility in its approach to technology.

Desirable

Experience with additional cloud services or frameworks is a plus, as is familiarity with agile methodologies. You may have worked in industries related to audit, risk, or InfoSec, giving you insights into the specific challenges faced by these sectors. A background in mentoring and team leadership will further enhance your fit for this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead large, strategic projects that require a high level of autonomy. You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable solutions that align with AuditBoard's business objectives. Your day-to-day tasks will include collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, conducting code reviews, and ensuring best practices in software development are followed.

You will also mentor other engineers, helping them grow their skills and navigate complex technical challenges. Your role will involve not only technical contributions but also strategic planning, where you will help shape the direction of the architecture team and influence the overall technology strategy of the company.

You will face a variety of challenges, from building new product features to optimizing existing systems for performance and scalability. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be crucial in ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet the highest quality standards.
