Overview

Amazon is hiring an Engineering Operations Technician to maintain mission-critical technology infrastructure in Manassas, Virginia. You are an entry-level Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems. You have hands-on experience troubleshooting equipment and are eager to learn about data center operations. Your attention to detail ensures that you maintain high standards of uptime and reliability in mission-critical environments. You thrive in collaborative settings and are excited to contribute to a diverse team of engineers and specialists. You understand the importance of maintaining infrastructure that supports global digital experiences and are committed to delivering exceptional results.

Desirable

Experience with diesel generators and three-phase electrical systems is a plus. Familiarity with cooling systems and UPS technology will help you excel in this role. You are open to learning new technologies and methodologies that enhance operational efficiency.

What you'll do

As an Engineering Operations Technician at Amazon, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting critical infrastructure within our data centers. You will work directly with electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring that systems such as generators, UPSs, and cooling towers operate seamlessly. Your role will involve conducting regular inspections, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to equipment failures to minimize downtime. You will collaborate with a team of engineers to implement solutions that enhance system reliability and efficiency.
