N26 is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to ensure the integrity of financial data and reporting cycles. You'll prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS and HGB, and work closely with external auditors. This role requires 4-6 years of relevant experience.
You have a university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CA. With 4-6 years of experience in financial accounting, you are detail-oriented and proactive, ensuring the integrity of financial data and compliance with reporting standards. You have a strong understanding of IFRS and HGB principles, allowing you to evaluate and document complex accounting treatments effectively. Your experience includes acting as a primary point of contact for external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations for accounting treatments. You are skilled in driving the implementation and optimization of reporting tools, moving manual reporting into automated workflows to enhance data reliability.
Experience with financial reporting in a fast-paced environment is a plus. Familiarity with banking systems and the ability to bridge the gap between raw data and final disclosures will set you apart. In this role, you will take ownership of the end-to-end book close process for N26 Group, ensuring all entries are posted accurately within an ambitious three-day timeline. You will prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and HGB, supporting the Manager of Financial Reporting in ensuring all disclosures are audit-ready and compliant. You will evaluate and document complex accounting treatments, assessing business transactions against IFRS and HGB principles to ensure compliance as the product offering evolves. Additionally, you will drive the implementation and optimization of reporting tools, working to reduce 'time-to-report' and increase data reliability. You will support the alignment between financial reporting and regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring a 'one source of truth' across the Group.
