Replit is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations for their growing workforce. You'll ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage payroll processing across multiple jurisdictions. This role requires attention to detail and experience in payroll management.
You are a detail-oriented Payroll Manager with experience in managing payroll operations for a diverse workforce. You have a strong understanding of payroll systems and compliance with tax regulations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. You are comfortable working with HR on employee lifecycle events and can handle inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality. You thrive in a high-growth environment and are eager to support the scaling of payroll infrastructure as the company transitions to a public entity.
Experience with payroll systems and HRIS integration is a plus. Familiarity with multi-state payroll processing and tax compliance will help you excel in this role. You are proactive in identifying opportunities to streamline payroll processes and improve efficiency.
In this role, you will manage end-to-end payroll operations, processing bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll for employees across multiple states and countries. You will maintain payroll systems, ensuring data integrity across HRIS, payroll, and accounting systems. Your responsibilities will include managing payroll tax compliance, including federal, state, and local tax filings, as well as year-end W-2 preparation. You will partner with HR on employee lifecycle events, such as new hires, terminations, and compensation changes. Additionally, you will reconcile payroll accounts, prepare journal entries, and ensure proper GL coding for month-end close. Responding to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and taxes will also be part of your daily tasks.
