Google is seeking a Customer Engineer for their Platform team to facilitate the adoption of Google Cloud products. You'll leverage your expertise in cloud engineering and customer relationships to drive successful implementations. This role requires 6+ years of experience in cloud native architecture.
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 6 years of experience in cloud native architecture, ideally in a customer-facing or support role. Your background includes cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, and containerization platforms, which you have utilized to solve complex customer challenges. You are familiar with security concepts such as encryption, identity management, access control, attack vectors, and penetration testing, enabling you to address critical security concerns for clients. You thrive on building and maintaining customer relationships from scratch, demonstrating excitement for developing Greenfield territories and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor in technology and business decisions.
Experience in migrating applications and services to cloud platforms is a plus, as is a strong understanding of how to facilitate productive, mobile, and collaborative work environments for educational institutions, government agencies, and businesses. Your ability to listen to customer needs and deliver tailored solutions is essential for success in this role.
As a Customer Engineer at Google, you will partner with Technical Sales teams to differentiate Google Cloud to prospective and existing customers. You will assist in facilitating the adoption of Google Cloud products, ensuring that clients understand the power of cloud computing and how it can enhance their operations. Your role will involve developing creative cloud solutions and architectures to address business challenges, engaging in proofs of concept, and recommending integration strategies and enterprise architectures. You will lead the prospecting and acquisition of new logos, creating and nurturing customer relationships from the ground up. Your technical expertise will be crucial in problem-solving key issues for customers, and you will collaborate closely with product marketing management and engineering teams to stay informed about industry trends and product enhancements.
