As the Director of Broker-Dealer Operations, you will oversee all operational aspects of Betterment's broker-dealer entity, which safeguards over $65B in assets. You will lead a team responsible for dividend and corporate action processing, reconciliations, and the design and operation of internal controls. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and maintaining accurate financial records. You will collaborate with various departments to improve and automate processes, enhancing the overall efficiency of operations. Additionally, you will partner with product and engineering teams to design and implement new investment products, such as Self-Directed Investing and Securities Lending. Your leadership will be crucial in managing relationships with third parties, including auditors and clearing firms, to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
