Overview

Socket is seeking a Sales Engineer to support enterprise customers by providing technical education and guidance. You'll collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to address customer challenges and facilitate product demonstrations.

Who you are

You have a strong background in technical sales or engineering, ideally with experience in enterprise environments. You possess excellent communication skills and can articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. You are customer-focused and thrive on building relationships that drive business value. You are comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, product, and design teams to ensure customer needs are met. You have a proactive approach to problem-solving and can handle objections with ease. You are adaptable and can navigate the fast-paced nature of a growing company.

Desirable

Experience in the software or security industry is a plus. Familiarity with open-source technologies and their applications in enterprise settings would be beneficial. A background in technical writing or content creation can enhance your ability to craft technical documentation for customers.

What you'll do

As a Sales Engineer at Socket, you will lead discussions and product demonstrations to showcase our capabilities to enterprise customers. You will address customer challenges, respond to questions, and handle objections effectively. Your role will involve crafting technical content that guides customers in implementing specific use cases or extending our solutions. You will collaborate closely with account teams to understand customer requirements and translate them into Socket capabilities, emphasizing the business value of our offerings. Supporting Proof of Concepts (POCs) will be a key part of your responsibilities, where you will provide technical expertise, troubleshooting, and guidance throughout the evaluation process. You will also offer guidance on integrating our solutions into the customer's existing infrastructure. Additionally, you will distill and communicate customer needs and product feedback to Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure alignment and continuous improvement.
