Overview

Google is seeking a Senior UX Program Manager to lead UX projects within their Payments team. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and utilize your expertise in UX design and user research. This role requires 6+ years of program management experience.

Who you are

You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 6 years of program management experience within design or UX organizations. Your background includes managing UX projects and working with cross-functional teams, including Design, Research, Engineering, and Product. You excel in facilitation and stakeholder management, and you have vendor management experience. Your understanding of the product development lifecycle allows you to navigate complex projects effectively. You are passionate about user-centered development tools and methodologies, and you thrive in a collaborative environment where communication is key.

Desirable

You have 7 years of experience in program management, operations, or a related field within a technology or creative environment. Your experience managing UX projects has equipped you with the skills to drive projects that enhance user experience and streamline processes.

What you'll do

As a Senior UX Program Manager at Google, you will drive projects within the UX organization, focusing on increasing communication and connection points while streamlining the UX design process. You will be responsible for owning, maintaining, and facilitating the team’s product lifecycle process, tools, and documentation. Your role will involve providing clear, timely, and accurate communication to cross-functional teams and management regarding project status, issues, and priorities. You will collaborate closely with UX Designers, Researchers, and Engineers to gather insights about user attitudes, emotions, and behaviors, which will inform design decisions. You will also play a strategic role in optimizing team processes to balance velocity and quality thresholds, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet user needs.
