SpaceX is hiring a Material Handler to support production and engineering by moving parts and ensuring timely material transport. You'll operate material handling equipment and verify materials for conformity. This role requires a high school diploma and at least 1 year of experience.
You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 1 year of experience in material handling or a related field. You are detail-oriented and capable of verifying materials for conformity with accompanying paperwork. You understand the importance of safety and efficiency in a production environment and are comfortable operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. You are a team player who can interface with various departments to resolve issues related to material receipt and distribution. You are physically capable of moving and expediting materials as required to meet production schedules.
In this role, you will support production and engineering by moving parts to ensure the master schedule is met. You will safely load, secure, and transport equipment, including packages and hardware, in support of flight or ground support equipment operations. You will be responsible for verifying that all materials are properly packaged and banded for transport, assisting with the loading and unloading of trucks. You will interface with receiving, quality control, purchasing, and other departments to resolve any problems related to material handling. Additionally, you will operate various material handling equipment and use an electronic material requirements planning (MRP) system to route parts and components to the appropriate departments. You will perform other related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient and effective work environment.
