Architectural Project Designer

Who you are

You have a strong background in architectural design, with experience in managing multiple concurrent projects and collaborating with various stakeholders. Your ability to perform feasibility assessments from architectural, fire/life safety, structural, and MEP standpoints is essential. You are skilled in creating and executing design solutions that address usability and physical ergonomics, ensuring effective communication of project requirements to stakeholders. You thrive in a collaborative environment, liaising between end users and external design consultants while coordinating the work of multiple disciplines involved in each project.

Desirable

Experience with high-tech infrastructure projects or in the aerospace industry would be a plus. Familiarity with advanced design software and tools beyond AutoCAD can enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

As an Architectural Project Designer at SpaceX, you will be responsible for translating complex engineering and production requirements into actionable architectural plans. You will participate in the design of multiple concurrent projects, each at different phases and involving various A/E consultant teams. Your role will require you to work closely with project stakeholders to develop project scopes and ensure that all designs meet the necessary standards and requirements. You will conduct feasibility assessments to evaluate proposed projects from various perspectives, including architectural integrity and safety compliance.

You will create and execute design solutions that address challenges related to form, usability, and ergonomics. This will involve communicating project requirements and options effectively to stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are aligned on the project's goals. Additionally, you will coordinate with external design consultants and internal construction and facilities teams to ensure that all aspects of the project are executed smoothly and efficiently.
