Amazon Prime is a program that provides millions of members with unlimited FREE same day, one-day delivery, unlimited streaming of video and music, secure online photo storage, access to kindle e-books as well as Prime offers on Prime Day. In emerging markets like India and other locales, Prime members get delivery benefits, video streaming, music streaming and early and exclusive access to deals. Over the years, Prime has continuously added value as well as increased flexibility in options for customers to join Prime. To continue to drive member acquisition via marketing channels, emerging markets Prime team is now looking for a talented, enthusiastic Senior Marketing Manager, who is excited about growing this strategic program further. We require a Senior Marketing Manager (MM) to drive the communication strategy for Prime plans. This MM will work on driving the vision for surfacing Prime plans across key Prime upsell locations. This MM will partner with channel teams to drive adoption of Prime plans. In addition, MM will partner to drive strategy during events for Prime Early access for member growth and liaise with categories to execute innovative marketing and merchandising initiatives to drive Prime member acquisition.
The role will require working with local and international teams, managing expectations and dependencies with multiple stakeholders. The ideal candidate will need to be detail-oriented and organized, have strong creative skills, capable of handling multiple projects and priorities at once, comfortable with ambiguity. The candidate will be able to synthesize business objectives into rapidly and flawlessly execute high quality marketing programs, past experience with funnel optimization, content experimentation is a plus. Besides having first-class written/verbal communication skills, the MM will need to be able to see and show results with data - understanding customer behavior and across different customer cohorts through analytics is critical to success and SQL abilities will be plus.
Key job responsibilities
- MBA with 6+ years of Product Marketing experience.
- Owns marketing strategy and execution for the business and product portfolio to drive adoption and scale.
- Works with internal teams to jointly define, develop, execute and analyze high-impact go-to-market digital and physical channel marketing strategies merchandising, promotion, customer value propositions, messaging, campaign goals and measurement.
- Develop an understanding of the drivers of customer acquisition and translate those insights into go-to-market programs, campaigns and promotions.
- Executes campaigns leveraging the full range of merchandising vehicles available, using data, analysis and best practices to optimize your decisions and maximize ROI.
- Works internally with Business Development, PR, Product Management, Research, Brand marketing , Legal, Retail marketing teams to ensure internal cross-functional alignment.
- Reporting on success metrics related to acquisition- 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience leading go-to-market for consumer software or hardware product launches- Experience using any of SQL or other analytical tools for conducting data analysis
- Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting
