Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Specialist

You have a strong background in health and safety, ideally with experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment. You understand the importance of compliance with health and safety regulations and are skilled in conducting risk assessments and workplace inspections. Your communication skills are top-notch, allowing you to engage effectively with employees at all levels. You are proactive in identifying risks and driving improvements, fostering a culture of safety within the organization. You thrive in a hands-on role, spending time on the floor to observe and interact with teams, ensuring that safety practices are understood and implemented. You are passionate about creating a positive safety culture where employees feel empowered to take ownership of their safety responsibilities.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be the go-to person for all health and safety matters at the Bleiswijk Distribution Center. You will conduct and follow up on risk assessments, ensuring that safety performance continuously improves. You will develop and deliver training sessions, toolbox talks, and procedures to enhance safety awareness among all teams. Collaborating with managers and team leads, you will support the application of HSE policies and ensure compliance with Dutch health and safety regulations. Your role will involve actively engaging with employees on the work floor, listening to their concerns, and empowering them to take safety into their own hands. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design practical solutions for identified risks and unsafe situations. Your efforts will help shape a proactive and positive safety culture, where everyone feels responsible, informed, and safe.
