  • Generate models, drawings, simulations, and specifications to support internal and external partners in the design and manufacture of mechanical components.

  • Mechanical subject-matter-expert supporting efficient collaboration with Electrical, Firmware, ID, and soft goods experts to solve complex integration problems.

  • Primary point of contact for identifying, evaluating,g and directing materials and fabrication partners.

  • Travel as needed for product or prototype development.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience with product design.

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience with wearable product design.

  • Experience with complex electromechanical integration, including sensors, cameras, batteries, antennas, and audio systems, in very small form factors.

  • Working knowledge of material properties, such as plastics, metal, adhesive, and glass.

  • Experience shipping products in a lead or principal engineer role.

  • Expert with Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools & mechanical simulation tools.

  • Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing techniques (stamping, machining, 3D printing, injection molding, etc).

  • BS or MS in ME or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • 10+ years of experience in a consumer electronics company.

  • In-depth knowledge in one or more areas within Product Design.

  • Experience shipping wearable electronics with significant ID/Cosmetic constraints.
