The Exploration Company is seeking a Radio Frequency Engineering Intern to assist in the design and development of RF communication systems for spacecraft. You'll work in Munich and require knowledge of RF communication principles and spacecraft communication systems.
You are a recent graduate or currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. You possess a deep understanding of RF communication principles and have hands-on experience with RF circuit design and antenna theory, particularly for space applications. Your solid experience in RF equipment design, testing, and validation makes you a strong candidate for this role. You are familiar with spacecraft communication protocols and standards, which will be essential in your contributions to the team.
As a Radio Frequency Engineering Intern at The Exploration Company, you will be involved in the design and development of RF communication systems for spacecraft operating in Low Earth Orbit (LEO). Your responsibilities will include defining requirements and selecting suppliers for RF equipment, ensuring that the systems you design can effectively communicate with both orbital and ground systems. You will conduct testing and validation of the RF communication system, which will involve simulations, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, and in-orbit testing post-launch. You will also interface with suppliers during the design and manufacturing phases of RF equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards for RF communication in space. Regular documentation of technical designs, analyses, and test results will be part of your role, providing updates to the project team as necessary.
The Exploration Company offers a collaborative work environment where you can gain valuable experience in the aerospace industry. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that contributes to the future of space exploration. We provide relocation assistance for those willing to move to Munich, including visa sponsorship where applicable.
