Job Description

IN High Consideration & Technical Products (HCTP) Tech plays pivotal role in building technology that enhances customer’s trust and experiences, while reducing business wastage. We are looking for an experienced and proven tech leader to lead large cross-functional strategic initiatives that improve fulfillment experiences for our customers, while making their purchases more affordable. This is a unique opportunity for a thought leader driven to pioneer India’s first global innovation in fast paced manner.

Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Manager, you will hire and develop a world-class team of engineers, with a deep understanding of agile software development methodologies, and will work closely with product owners, engineering leaders, and leadership across the company with excellent communication skills. You will work with our product management team to develop the strategy, followed by architecture and implementation of critical features into our mobile platform. You will own software in all phases of the software life-cycle from architecture and design through deployment and release. You will learn about Amazon’s ordering, fulfillment and affordability space, interact with other teams to build optimized systems. You will design, build and own India first features and programs that delights our India customers and are relevant for our global customers.- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
