Job Description

Who you are

You have extensive experience in welding and fabrication, particularly in aerospace or similar industries — your skills in orbital tube welding are well-honed, and you understand the intricacies of working with various materials and structures. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with engineers and other technicians to bring designs to life. Your attention to detail ensures that every weld meets the highest standards of quality and safety. You are proactive in problem-solving, often identifying potential issues before they arise and suggesting effective solutions. You are committed to continuous improvement and are always looking for ways to enhance processes and workflows.

Desirable

Experience with rocket manufacturing or aerospace projects is a plus — familiarity with the specific challenges of building rockets will give you an edge in this role. Knowledge of safety protocols and quality assurance processes in a manufacturing setting is also beneficial. You are adaptable and open to learning new techniques and technologies that can improve your work and the overall efficiency of the team.

What you'll do

As a Senior Orbital Tube Weld Technician, you will play a crucial role in the Stage Manufacturing team, responsible for constructing the primary structures of the Terran R rocket. You will work hands-on with welding equipment, ensuring that all welds are executed to the highest standards. Collaboration is key in this role; you will work closely with engineers to understand design specifications and provide feedback on manufacturability. You will also participate in real-time problem-solving, addressing any challenges that arise during the manufacturing process. Your contributions will directly impact the success of the Terran R project, as you help turn innovative designs into tangible products. You will be expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and quality standards. Continuous learning and improvement will be part of your daily routine, as you seek to enhance your skills and the efficiency of the manufacturing process.

What we offer

We offer competitive compensation, with a hiring range of $35.25—$45.65 USD per hour, reflecting your skills and experience. You will have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects that have the potential to change the future of space exploration. Our culture emphasizes autonomy and ownership, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on the work you do. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement — your unique perspective and skills could be exactly what we need to succeed.
