You are a detail-oriented individual with strong negotiation skills — you excel at engaging with customers and resolving issues effectively. Your critical thinking abilities allow you to analyze situations and develop loss-mitigation strategies that benefit both the customer and the company. You understand the importance of compliance with federal, state, and company regulations, ensuring that all interactions are conducted within legal boundaries. Your ability to build rapport with customers is key to your success in this role, as you work to cure delinquency and prevent charge-offs. You are fluent in Spanish, which enables you to communicate effectively with a diverse customer base.

Experience in collections or customer service is a plus, as it provides you with a foundational understanding of managing delinquent accounts. What you'll do

In your role as an Auto Collections Late Stage Specialist I, you will be responsible for managing and resolving mid-stage delinquent auto loan accounts that are 60–89 days past due. You will engage with customers through effective communication, utilizing your negotiation skills to find solutions that work for both parties. Your focus will be on curing delinquency and preventing charge-offs and repossession, which requires a proactive approach to customer engagement. You will analyze each account's situation and develop tailored strategies to address the customer's needs while adhering to compliance regulations. Your role will involve documenting interactions and outcomes accurately to maintain transparency and accountability.

You will collaborate with other team members to share insights and strategies that can improve overall performance in collections. Regular training and updates on compliance regulations will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring that you remain informed about best practices in the industry. You will also participate in team meetings to discuss challenges and successes, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
