Facilities Equipment Technician, Raxium

Who you are

You have at least 4 years of experience in facility support, demonstrating a solid understanding of facility and support equipment such as RODI, Process Cooling Water (PCW), Liquid Nitrogen (LN2) systems, HVAC, and more. Your background includes experience with gas distribution systems, installing gas cylinders, and handling chemicals safely. You are skilled in troubleshooting various equipment areas, including electrical/electronics, mechanical/pneumatics, software controls, and vacuum systems. Operating forklifts is second nature to you, and you are physically capable of lifting 50lbs and standing for extended periods.

You hold an Associate's degree or a Trade/Technical School Certificate, which complements your hands-on experience. You are familiar with using Manufacturing Execution Software (MES) and Building Management Systems (BMS), and you can read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics. Your ability to support emergency response and safety teams is a key asset in your role.

What you'll do

As a Facilities Equipment Technician at Google, you will be part of the Raxium Facility and Equipment team, responsible for maintaining a range of semiconductor and facility equipment as well as cleanroom infrastructure. You will collaborate with problem-solving team members to support semiconductor operations, focusing on scheduled and corrective maintenance of equipment. Your role will involve performing electro/mechanical troubleshooting and general maintenance tasks, including gas regulators, valve replacements, and piping support.

You will also be tasked with supporting the equipment and facility engineering department to enhance equipment performance. Your expertise will enable you to troubleshoot problems effectively, execute tasks efficiently, and collaborate on installing, modifying, maintaining, and repairing cleanroom and facility support equipment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of semiconductor processing and its support equipment, contributing to the overall success of the facility.
