This role requires expertise in data science methods and enterprise software.

Job Description

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in data science, with a strong background in statistical modeling and machine learning techniques — you've successfully applied these skills to real-world business challenges, driving data-informed decisions that enhance customer experiences. Your proficiency in Python and SQL allows you to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively, ensuring that your insights are actionable and impactful.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product managers, engineers, and business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement — your ability to communicate complex data findings in a clear and concise manner makes you a valuable partner in cross-functional discussions. You understand the importance of fostering a data-driven culture and are passionate about empowering teams to leverage data in their decision-making processes.

You have a keen eye for trends and patterns in data, which helps you to anticipate customer needs and drive business growth.

Desirable

Experience with enterprise software offerings is a plus, as it allows you to better understand the context in which your data insights will be applied. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure can enhance your ability to deploy data solutions at scale.

You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, and marketing teams, to identify areas for improvement in customer experience and business performance.

You will develop predictive models that help forecast performance and recommend actionable strategies to achieve desired outcomes. Your work will involve running experiments to validate your recommendations, ensuring that the solutions you propose are effective and aligned with business goals.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will also play a key role in mentoring junior team members, sharing your expertise in data science methods and best practices. You will contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team, encouraging others to embrace data-driven decision-making.

What we offer

Microsoft is committed to creating an inclusive environment where every employee can thrive. You will have the opportunity to work on impactful projects that shape the future of enterprise software, contributing to Microsoft's mission to empower every person and organization on the planet.
