SpaceX is hiring a Software Engineer for the Propulsion Simulation & Data Analysis team to develop models and conduct analysis for advanced rocket engines. You'll work with Python and C++ to improve engine performance and safety.
You have a strong background in software engineering with experience in developing models and conducting data analysis — your expertise in Python and C++ allows you to create accurate simulations and predictions. You understand thermofluid physics and have a keen interest in propulsion systems, which drives your passion for aerospace technology. In this role, you will maintain and improve the accuracy of the lumped-parameter thermofluid physics model of the Raptor engine, ensuring that simulations reflect real-world performance. Your responsibilities will also include utilizing the engine model for anomaly resolution, where you will analyze data from engine tests to identify and rectify issues.
