Description
This role will be responsible for advising on a broad range of trademark matters with an emphasis on clearance, prosecution and dispute work. The candidate must have experience managing a large global trademark docket and be able to solve highly complex issues in creative and effective ways, while maintaining an acceptable level of legal risk in a fast-paced environment. This attorney will share responsibility with Apple’s other trademark attorneys and must be able to work in a highly collaborative manner.
Minimum Qualifications
JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar.
5+ years as a practicing attorney in trademark law with extensive US and international experience in clearance, prosecution, licensing, and dispute work.
Significant experience prosecuting trademark applications at the USPTO, with insight and knowledge of USPTO and TTAB procedures.
Experience managing foreign counsel on international clearance, prosecution and disputes.
Experience (at a major law firm and/or in-house) working on trademark issues.
A high degree of self-sufficiency, independent judgment, and a results-oriented approach.

Ability to work independently managing a busy day to day portfolio and collaborate with a large team.
Detail oriented and able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.

Experience in technology and consumer electronics industries is a plus.
