Xometry is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to support Sales in the aerospace and defense sectors. You'll engage with customers, provide technical expertise, and manage projects. This role requires experience in engineering and a strong understanding of the aerospace industry.
You are an experienced engineer with a strong background in aerospace and defense, bringing at least 5 years of relevant experience to the table. You possess a unique blend of technical expertise and customer engagement skills, allowing you to effectively communicate complex engineering concepts to clients. Your project management abilities enable you to oversee major projects from inception to execution, ensuring alignment with customer needs and expectations. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with Account Executives to drive account growth and retention. Your enthusiasm for the aerospace industry is evident, and you stay informed about the latest trends and challenges in the field.
Experience with digital manufacturing processes and tools is a plus, as is familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) principles. You have a knack for identifying potential manufacturing challenges and proactively addressing them before they escalate. Your ability to digest and organize complex information allows you to illuminate key insights for your team and clients alike.
In this role, you will partner with Account Executives to drive account growth and retention, leveraging your technical knowledge to support sales efforts. You will engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that align with their projects. Your responsibilities will include joining Account Executives on onsite visits to clients, where you will present solutions and address any technical questions they may have. You will also stay informed about upcoming customer projects and initiatives, ensuring that your solutions are aligned with their goals. Your role will require you to proactively identify and address potential manufacturing challenges, including DFM considerations, to ensure successful project outcomes.
