You have a proven track record in sales engineering, with at least 5 years of experience managing teams in a technical sales environment. Your leadership style is hands-on, and you thrive in coaching and mentoring your team to achieve their best performance. You understand the importance of building strong relationships with both customers and internal teams, ensuring seamless collaboration across departments. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Your ability to analyze customer needs and align them with product offerings is key to your success in this role. You are adaptable and can navigate the challenges of a hybrid workplace, fostering a positive office culture that encourages creativity and teamwork.

Desirable

Experience in the tech industry, particularly with cloud-based solutions, is a plus. Familiarity with Datadog's products and services will give you an edge in understanding customer requirements and delivering tailored solutions. A background in technical sales or pre-sales engineering will enhance your ability to lead your team effectively.

What you'll do

As the Regional Manager for Sales Engineering at Datadog, you will lead a talented team of Sales Engineers, guiding them in qualifying and closing opportunities. You will take the lead technical role in your region, supporting customer-facing activities and engagements for key accounts. Your responsibilities will include partnering with the Sales Team to articulate Datadog's value proposition and strategy to customers. You will also play a crucial role in recruiting top talent within your region, ensuring that your team is equipped with the necessary skills to support all required Datadog solutions. Mentoring and coaching new hires during their onboarding process will be essential to ramping up their capabilities. You will develop close working relationships with Product Management, Support, and Enablement teams to ensure continuity between pre and post-sales activities. Additionally, you will conduct semi-annual performance reviews to assess team members' progress and provide constructive feedback.
