Waymo is seeking a Vendor Quality & Training Lead to manage vendor delivery performance and operational reporting. This role is crucial for ensuring the safety and reliability of the Waymo Driver, focusing on building scalable operations powered by AI.
You have extensive experience in quality assurance and operations, ideally within the technology or automotive sectors. Your background includes managing vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with quality standards. You are skilled in developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures, and you excel at prioritizing tasks and resource allocation. You understand the importance of safety and reliability in autonomous driving technology and are passionate about contributing to a mission-driven company like Waymo. You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendor partners. You are adaptable and thrive in a fast-paced environment, ready to tackle the challenges of scaling operations in a rapidly growing company.
In this role, you will oversee vendor delivery performance, ensuring that all operational tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. You will manage both recurring and one-off task delivery queues, working closely with vendor partners to communicate priorities and resource allocation caps. Your responsibilities will include defining and implementing Standard Operating Procedures to streamline operations and enhance quality assurance processes. You will analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to optimize vendor performance. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on quality standards and operational goals. As a lead, you will mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Waymo offers a competitive salary range of $152,000—$192,000 USD, along with participation in a discretionary annual bonus program and an equity incentive plan.
