Job Description

The Learning & Development Product & Science team in Amazon Logistics (AMZL) builds state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions for enhancing leadership and associate development within the organization. We develop technology and mechanisms to map the learner journeys, answer real-time questions through chat assistants, and drive the right interventions at the right time.

We are looking for an experienced Principal Product Manager – Technical to lead the development and strategy of agentic AI systems in Learning & Development (L&D). You will define, build, and scale intelligent, autonomous learning experiences that drive personalized skill development at scale. This role blends AI/ML product strategy, enterprise learning innovation, and technical program execution.

You’ll work closely with Applied Scientists, Learning Designers, Data Engineers, and Business Leaders to design AI agents that proactively identify, recommend, and manage employee learning journeys, adapting to individual goals, organizational priorities, and performance feedback.

Key job responsibilities
- Own product vision and roadmap for agentic AI solutions in L&D, aligning with enterprise talent development goals.
- Define and prioritize use cases where autonomous agents can drive measurable outcomes (e.g., skills development, learning completion, performance enablement).
- Partner with AI/ML, platform, and L&D teams to translate business problems into technical solutions (e.g., LLM fine-tuning, RLHF for personalized coaching agents).
- Develop and evolve data strategies (skill ontologies, employee learning graphs, career progression models) to inform intelligent agent behaviors.
- Define success metrics, feedback loops, and experimentation plans to measure effectiveness of AI-powered learning interventions.
- Drive integration of agentic AI with internal platforms (LMS, talent systems, workflow tools like Asana/Slack).
- Ensure compliance with enterprise AI governance, ethics, and data privacy policies.
- Present strategy, progress, and insights to senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience as a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and effectively influence across cross-functional teams
- Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience with LLMs, agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain), and personalization models
- Proven experience in enterprise software or L&D platforms (LMS, talent marketplaces, skilling ecosystems)- 10+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
- Masters in Science, Statistics and/or Engineering.
- Experience with GenAI platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere) and vector databases
- Familiarity with employee development frameworks (e.g., talent mobility, career pathing, skills taxonomies)
- Experience working with edtech, HR tech, or enterprise L&D transformation
