About the project

As a Data Scientist, you play a key role in transforming behavioral data into actionable insights that drive business value, with a strong focus on e-commerce and marketing automation. You will develop and maintain statistical and machine learning models that enhance customer engagement, optimize user experiences, and improve decision-making for our clients. Your ability to bridge data science with business needs ensures that our solutions not only meet technical standards but also deliver measurable impact in real-world applications. Understanding customer behavior, identifying trends, and uncovering new business opportunities through data-driven insights are integral parts of your role. Your responsibilities span the full lifecycle of data science models—from research, design, and proof-of-concept to production deployment, monitoring, and continuous optimization. Working within an agile development environment, you will ensure that models balance complexity, scalability, and maintainability while adhering to software engineering best practices. Additionally, you will contribute to the refinement of our Customer Data Platform and recommendation systems. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with backend developers, product managers, and customer-facing teams to align solutions with business needs. You will also be responsible for effectively communicating complex data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields.

• Strong backend development background (e.g., Azure/Python) and experience in transitioning into data science.

• Experience in end-to-end data science projects, including model development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

• Strong mathematical modeling and statistical skills, with a focus on software-level implementation.

• Ready to work primarily on improving and maintaining current solutions on source code level.

• Proficiency in Python for statistical programming.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain data-driven insights to diverse audiences.

• Excellent English and Polish (verbal and written)

Nice to have

• Experience with: Azure, DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, Databricks, Cassandra, SQL.

• Experience with Delta Lake and Spark for handling large-scale data.

• Experience working with Large Language Models LLMs and other NLP technologies in a multi-agent system.

• Background in eCommerce product development.

• Experience in developing recommendation systems.

• Hands-on experience with deep learning PyTorch, TensorFlow, MXNet).

• Proficiency with Git
