What you'll do

As a Technical Lead for the ML Collision Avoidance team, you will oversee the development of critical AI components within Nuro's safety-critical backup autonomy stack. You will lead a team of software engineers, providing guidance and support as they work on perception, prediction, and risk reasoning systems. Your role will involve setting the technical vision and ensuring that the team executes effectively to meet project goals.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate safety features into the Nuro Driver, ensuring that the systems perform reliably under various conditions. You will be responsible for defining best practices and standards for AI development within the team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

You will also engage in hands-on development, contributing to the codebase and helping to troubleshoot complex issues as they arise. Your leadership will be crucial in mentoring junior engineers and helping them grow their skills and careers.
