What you'll do

As a Senior Django Backend Engineer at Photoroom, you will be responsible for designing and implementing new features that enhance the functionality of our AI photo editing platform. You will collaborate with a team of engineers to ensure that the backend architecture supports the rapid deployment of updates and new features, which occur multiple times a week. Your role will involve coding, testing, and monitoring the performance of the backend systems, using tools like Datadog to gather insights and make informed decisions.

You will take ownership of your projects, from initial design through to deployment and performance monitoring. This means you will be involved in every step of the process, ensuring that the features you develop are not only functional but also optimized for performance and user satisfaction. You will work closely with product owners to understand user needs and translate them into technical requirements, ensuring that the final product meets the expectations of our diverse user base.

You will also participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall improvement of the engineering practices within the team.
